Executive Coaching
What is executive coaching and what can it do for you?
According to a recent article by Paul Michelman,
which appeared in
Harvard Business School Working Knowledge,
executive coaching has gone mainstream among many of the world's
most respected companies as a core part of their executive
development programs. In fact, a recent survey conducted by
U.S. based Right Management Consultants showed that 86 percent
of companies surveyed used coaching to sharpen the skills
of their top performers and leaders.
Coaching is a very situational approach to bringing people
to their top level of performance
and enjoyment in
their current positions. In addition, in many cases coaching
helps the individual being coached clarify priorities and
prepare themselves for future growth, personally as well as
professionally.
There are many different and successful approaches to the
coaching process. Care should be given, however, to the selection
of a coach who will be right for the specific need.

de Callier has been coaching executives for more than
twenty years and offers some insights on the selection of
a coach and the coaching process in an
article
titled "Career Coaching: A Reality Check", which
was published in
The Prague Post.
